A paradox is a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition that when investigated or explained, may prove to be well founded or true. I've always felt that the idea of leadership was a paradox unto itself, meaning that it's been studied more as a science or methodology than an art form. In my view, leadership is an art to be learned just as painting, playing a piano, or learning a new language. When it comes down to it, it's the art of learning people more than anything else.
